In this elegant baking session, our young chefs will explore the charm of Madeleines: the iconic French shell-shaped cakes that are light, delicate, and full of flavour.

Children will learn the fundamentals of sponge batter: how to mix gently for a soft texture, the importance of resting the batter, and how to achieve the perfect golden edges with a tender centre.

We’ll prepare both sweet and savoury madeleines. For the sweet version, we’ll focus on balance and aroma, creating beautifully flavoured little cakes perfect for tea time. For the savoury version, children will discover how herbs, cheese, or vegetables can transform the same base into something entirely different — ideal as a light snack or appetiser.

This class is all about precision, creativity, and understanding how small adjustments in ingredients can completely change a recipe. A refined and fun baking experience that builds both confidence and technique.
