How it works
-
What makes En Cuisine Cooking School different?
We're a boutique cooking school, not a chain or a workshop run on the side of a restaurant. Every detail, from the ingredients we source to the chefs we hire to the menus we write, is built around one belief: that learning to cook properly is a lifelong gift. Our classes are small, our chefs are professional, and our menus are ambitious. Children leave us not entertained, but genuinely able.

How do I book a class, camp, party
All bookings are made directly through our website. Choose the class, camp or party you'd like, pick your date, and you'll be guided through to checkout. You'll receive an immediate confirmation by email with the address, the start time, and everything you need to know for the day. If you can't find the date you want, get in touch, we sometimes open private sessions on demand.
-
Where is the cooking class based?
We're in the heart of Belgravia, central London, a short walk from Sloane Square and Victoria. The full address is sent with your booking confirmation. Visitors usually arrive on foot or by taxi; on-street parking nearby is metered.
-
Who do I hand my child over to at drop-off?
A member of our team will greet you at the door and welcome your child into the kitchen. Please don't drop off before the published class start time, as the kitchen is being prepared and we want to make sure every guest is properly settled in.
-
Can I stay with my child?
For all our classes, we ask parents to drop off and return for collection at the end. This helps children focus, gain independence and bond with the chefs and the other young cooks.
-
Are classes hands-on or demo?
Every class at En Cuisine is fully hands-on. Each child has their own station, their own ingredients, and their own apron. We believe people learn to cook by cooking so demonstrations are kept short and the time is spent at the chopping board, the stove and the work surface.
-
Can I show up to the kitchen without booking?
Unfortunately not. All of our classes, camps and parties are pre-booked online so we can prepare the right ingredients and the right number of stations for each guest. If you'd like to visit, please book in advance via the website. If a class is sold out and you'd like to be added to the waiting list, drop us an email and we'll let you know if a place opens up.
-
How many children in each group?
We keep our classes small on purpose so every student gets real attention from the chef. Junior classes are capped at small group sizes that allow our team to work one-to-one where needed. Exact numbers vary by class type, get in touch if you'd like the specific cap for the session you're booking.
-
Is the kitchen safe for children?
Yes. Our kitchen is purpose-designed for teaching, with age-appropriate equipment, low-level work surfaces for younger children, and chef supervision at all times. Children are taught knife and stove safety in an age-appropriate way as part of the class itself. We carry full public liability insurance and our team is first-aid trained.
-
Who are the chefs teaching?
Every class is led by a fully qualified chef with professional restaurant or pastry experience and a passion for teaching. Our team is trained in working with children as well as with adult learners, and all staff hold up-to-date food hygiene certification and enhanced DBS checks where required.
-
Can you accommodate allergies or dietary requirements?
Yes, please tell us about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements at the point of booking, and again by email at least 72 hours before the class. We'll do everything we can to adapt the menu so every guest takes part fully and safely. Please note that our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame and shellfish, so we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment for guests with severe allergies. We'll be honest with you about what we can and can't safely accommodate.
-
Do I need to bring anything?
A big smile! Aprons, ingredients, equipment and recipe cards are all provided. Children are welcome to bring a water bottle if they'd like one. We also encourage you to bring your own containers in case your child didn’t eat everything and wants to bring their creations back home.
-
Will my child eat what they made?
Yes! Every class includes a sit-down moment where children taste what they've cooked, and most dishes also come home with them so the family can enjoy the rest. It's one of our favourite parts of the day.
-
What happens if I am late at the collection time?
We understand London traffic, please just message us as soon as you know you'll be late and we'll keep your child happy until you arrive. A staff member will always stay with them. Repeated significant lateness may incur a small late-collection fee, but we'll always speak to you first.

What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Please check our website where you can find all the legal requirements.
