14/12: Mini chefs December camp: Christmas lunch
For our youngest chefs aged 3 to 5, this is a first real taste of the kitchen and a Christmas one.
In this gentle, hands-on session, Mini Chefs discover what it means to cook from scratch. They prepare a festive lunch of roasted chicken and a colourful vegetable tray, learning that good food starts long before it reaches the table. With the right tools and plenty of supervision, they handle real ingredients: washing, tearing, arranging, and seasoning with their own hands.
The highlight of the session is the chicken. With age-appropriate knives and a chef close by, each child has the experience of cutting their own piece, building a sense of confidence and independence that goes far beyond the kitchen. They learn that cooking is something they can do, not just watch and it is ok to be messy!
The vegetables are prepared with the same care: chosen for colour and texture, cut into pieces, tossed with a drizzle of oil and simple seasoning, and laid out on a roasting tray before going into the oven. Little hands, real results.
When everything is ready, they sit down and eat the lunch they made, a moment that tends to make even the fussiest of eaters very proud indeed.
Our small-group setting ensures each child receives plenty of support and encouragement, making it the perfect first cooking experience for preschoolers.
