18/12: Gourmet December camp - Christmas baking

£99.00

There are smells that mean Christmas, and this one is one of them!

Your children will spend the session in full baking mode, working through two classic festive and traditional recipes.

They start with mince pies by making a short, buttery pastry from scratch, rolling and cutting it cleanly, spooning in the spiced mincemeat filling, and crimping the lids before the tray goes into the oven.

Then come the Christmas biscuits. Children mix and roll out a firm, spiced dough, cut their own shapes and bake them to the right shade of golden. No icing, just the biscuit itself with its Christmas flavours. It will be good enough to stand on its own so no need to add sugar.

By the end of the session they've worked with pastry, biscuit dough, and the rhythms of a busy kitchen and they leave with a full box of homemade Christmas baking, ready to share (or not).

What's included:

  • Step-by-step guidance from our professional chefs

  • All ingredients and equipment provided
