16/12: Gourmet December camp - Bao bun class

£99.00

In this class, young chefs aged 6 to 12 dive into one of the most satisfying things you can make with your hands: the bao bun.

Soft, pillowy, and endlessly versatile, they'll learn to make the dough from scratch, shape and fold each bun, and steam them to fluffy perfection.

On the savoury side, children prepare a filling of tender chicken and vegetables, seasoned and cooked before being tucked into their buns with fresh toppings. On the sweet side, they discover that the same dough opens a completely different world with a soft filling that makes for a delicious dessert bun.

Along the way they pick up real skills: working with yeasted dough, understanding how steaming works as a cooking method, balancing flavours in a filling, and the satisfying art of folding a bun that holds together and looks the part.

They leave with a full box of their own bao (savoury and sweet) and the confidence to make them again at home.
