20/10: Gourmet October camp - Harvest lunch
Come join us in our professional kitchen for a truly special autumn cooking adventure!
This class is a celebration of the harvest season. We kick things off with stuffed butternut squash (one of autumn's greatest stars.) Your young cooks will get hands-on with the whole process: scooping, seasoning, building a filling packed with flavour, and roasting everything to perfection. Watching a simple squash turn into something this beautiful and delicious is one of those kitchen moments that stays with you.
Next up, we slow things right down for something truly elegant: poached pears with orange custard. Your foodies will discover the gentle art of poaching, how patience and a good spiced syrup can turn a humble piece of fruit into something extraordinary. And then there's the custard. Silky, warm, and fragrant with fresh orange, it's the kind of sauce that makes everyone go quiet for a moment after the first spoonful.
Our chefs will be right there throughout, sharing the know-how that makes a real difference — how to coax sweetness out of vegetables, how to tell when a custard is perfectly cooked, and how to plate up a dish that makes people say wow before they've even tasted it.
By the end of the session, the table is set, the food is ready, and our young chefs get to sit down together and eat every last bit of what they cooked.

Step-by-step guidance from our professional chefs
