21/10: Gourmet October camp - Autumn oven

£99.00

Come join us in our professional kitchen for an afternoon that smells absolutely incredible from start to finish!

This class is pure autumn comfort with golden and flaky pastry, fillings, and the sweet smells that make everyone stop what they're doing and wander into the kitchen.

We start with a caramelized onion tart and yes, we're making everything from scratch. Our young chefs will learn the art of slow cooking: watching a mountain of raw onions gradually transform into something deeply sweet, sticky, and golden over time. They'll make their own pastry, roll it out, blind bake the shell, and fill it with that gorgeous, jammy onion mixture. The result is the kind of tart you'd find in a proper French bistro: rich, savoury, and completely irresistible.

Then we switch to something a little more magical: stuffed baked apples with cream. Your young cooks will core and fill their apples with a mixture of oat, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and raisins, then pop them in the oven and watch them slowly soften and caramelize into the most comforting dessert imaginable. Finished with a generous pour of cold cream.

Our chefs will be there every step of the way, sharing the secrets of great pastry, explaining why slow cooking makes all the difference, and showing everyone how the oven can turn the simplest ingredients into something truly special.

By the end of the session the kitchen table is full, the food is ready, and Your young chefs get to dig into everything they made themselves.
