14/02/26: Valentines' day baking
This special Valentine’s Day baking class invites children (6-12 years old) to enjoy a longer, immersive cooking experience filled with creativity, comfort, and festive fun.
Over the course of two hours, children will take part in a hands-on baking session where they will prepare and decorate Valentine-themed baked goods (Red velvet muffins and Valentines biscuits). The class is designed to be relaxed and engaging, allowing plenty of time for mixing, shaping, decorating, and enjoying the process at a gentle pace.
Children will explore ingredients, colours, and textures while developing confidence in the kitchen. Activities are age-appropriate and guided step by step, with adults supporting all stages involving heat or equipment. The emphasis is on enjoyment, creativity, and positive food experiences rather than perfection.
The workshop also encourages sharing, kindness, and pride in creating something special to take home or give as a Valentine’s gift.
By the end of the session, children will have baked, decorated, and celebrated their creations in a warm and joyful atmosphere.
Key highlights:
A relaxed 2-hour baking experience
Valentine’s Day–themed recipes and decorations
Develops confidence, creativity, and fine motor skills
Encourages a positive, pressure-free relationship with baking
A lovely opportunity to create and share something homemade
