20/07: Gourmet July camp - Taste of Spain
Get a full immersion into our professional kitchen by learning different techniques and flavours during our summer cooking camp!
In this vibrant cooking session, our young chefs will explore the bold and sunny flavours of Spain.
We’ll prepare a traditional Paella, learning how to build flavour from the base — gently cooking aromatics, toasting rice, and layering spices to create depth and colour. Children will discover how timing and heat control are essential to achieving perfectly cooked rice with wonderful texture.
For dessert, we’ll make Crema Catalana, a silky custard finished with its signature caramelised sugar top. Young chefs will learn about tempering eggs, achieving a smooth consistency, and the science behind caramelising sugar safely.
This class is all about colour, aroma, and confidence — understanding how simple ingredients come together to create dishes full of warmth and character. A joyful culinary journey to Spain, filled with flavour and new skills.
