Mini chefs: February full week
Calling all little food explorers! In this fun, hands-on workshop, our Mini Chefs (ages 3–5) will roll up their sleeves, put on their aprons, and discover the joy of cooking while making a delicious dishes and cakes.
Class structure
Hands on cooking classes where your children are in charge of doing everything from scratch with the help of a chef instructor. They will be guided through the step-by-step recipes and get some demonstrations performed by the chef instructor who is running the session. The exact format will vary from class to class depending on the style of cuisine and length of the course. Children will get a chance to eat what they have cooked by having a break from 11.30qm to 12pm. Time frame might changed depending on the group and recipes made on the day.
Our Mini Chefs workshops are designed to introduce young children to cooking in a calm, playful, and age-appropriate way. Through hands-on activities and familiar recipes, children are encouraged to explore food using their senses, build confidence in the kitchen, and enjoy positive food experiences from an early age.
Each session focuses on simple techniques such as mixing, pouring, stirring, rolling, dipping, and assembling, with all heat and sharp tools handled by adults. The emphasis is on participation, curiosity, and enjoyment rather than precision or speed.
Throughout the programme, children will take part in a variety of themed workshops, including:
Soda Bread Workshop – discovering how bread can be made with just a few simple ingredients
Bolognese Pasta Class – exploring vegetables, herbs, and comforting flavours
Fish Finger Workshop – making fish fingers from scratch in a fun, sensory way
Cinnamon Roll Class – rolling, sprinkling, and baking a warm, comforting treat
Marble Cake Workshop – mixing, pouring, and swirling vanilla and chocolate batters
Each workshop supports early learning by developing fine motor skills, encouraging turn-taking and listening, and helping children feel confident and relaxed around food.
By the end of each session, children are invited to taste what they have made and share their experience in a positive, pressure-free environment.
