06/12/26: Christmas biscuits
In this cosy and festive baking session, your young chefs (6-12 years old) will explore the timeless charm of Christmas biscuits: warm, buttery, and gently scented with the bright, uplifting aroma of fresh orange.
Working in a small group (1 chef for 6 students) children will learn the fundamentals of biscuit dough: how to cream butter and sugar to the perfect light texture, why fresh orange zest brings such a beautiful depth of flavour, and the importance of resting the dough to achieve that lovely crisp-yet-tender bite.
Once our dough is ready, children will roll it out and use festive cutters to shape stars, trees, snowflakes, and all the classic Christmas favourites, discovering how a little care at this stage gives each biscuit its beautifully clean finish.
Rather than icing, we'll let the natural flavours shine. Children will learn how to brush the biscuits delicately, sprinkle them with sparkling sugar, and bake them to a perfect golden edge, allowing the buttery orange aroma to take centre stage.
This class is all about technique, patience, and the warm joy of festive baking. A refined and fun experience that builds both confidence and skill and sends every little baker home with a beautiful box of orange-scented Christmas biscuits, ready to share around the tree. (No icing)
