23/07: Gourmet July camp - Chinese flavours
Get a full immersion into our professional kitchen by learning different techniques and flavours during our summer cooking camp!
In this exciting hands-on session, our young chefs will explore the delicate balance of sweet, savoury, and aromatic flavours found in Chinese cuisine.
We’ll begin by making soft, fluffy Baozi (bao buns), learning how yeast works, how to knead and shape dough, and how steaming creates their signature light texture. Children will discover the importance of patience and precision when working with dough.
Alongside this, we’ll prepare flavourful chicken skewers inspired by classic Chinese street food, practising marinating techniques, balancing soy, ginger, and garlic, and understanding how heat transforms flavour and texture.
This class focuses on technique, aroma, and teamwork — developing confidence while exploring a cuisine rich in history and bold, comforting flavours.
What’s included:
Step-by-step guidance from our professional chefs
All ingredients and equipment provided
