Vegan spirulina cake

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples or 100g apple puree

  • ½ cup flour

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¼ cup oil

  • 1 tbsp spirulina

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tbsp flax seeds

  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 tsp baking powder

Utensils:

  • 1 mixing bowl

  • A spoon

  • A whisk

  • A scale

  • A cake tin

You can swap the flour with coconut or almond flour for bringing a little twist.

Step-by-step recipe:

  1. Peel the apples, cut them in quarter and cook them on a medium heat with a tablespoon of water in a saucepan until soft with a puree texture. Reserve.

  2. In a bowl, put all the dry ingredients together. Stir.

  3. Pour the oil and the apple puree in the mix. Combine.

  4. Pour the batter in the cake tin and cook for 40 minutes at 180C
