Creme brulee

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 5cl milk

  • 20 cl double cream

  • 40g sugar

  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract

Utensils:

  • 1 mixing bowl

  • A spoon

  • A whisk

  • A saucepan

  • A scale

  • A cake tin

You can add some orange extract instead of vanilla

Step-by-step recipe:

  1. In a sauce pan, pour the milk and double cream until simmer. Do not boil the mix.

  2. In a mixing bowl, crack the eggs and separate the white and the yolk. #

  3. Combine the sugar with the egg yolks until bubbly.

  4. Pour the warm milk on the top of the sugar and egg mix. Whisk while pouring to avoid the scramble texture.

  5. Add the vanilla extract and combine.

  6. Pour in the ramequins and cook in a bain marie at 150C for 35 minutes.

  7. When cooked, pour some blond sugar and caramelize it with the fire gun.
